Grippers Link
In 2009 Hall’s introduced grippers into the company as part of our standard PPE. Originally used for ice curling, the soft rubber overshoes provide significant grip in the sometimes icy/slippery floors of the trailers used to transport chilled and frozen product. In the original trial done in 2009 both drivers and stores personnel found the over-shoe gave them they required ‘grip’ on wet or icy floors - hence the name. Since the induction into the company there has been a significant reduction in slips that in the past resulted in injury.
